Hooray for Hollywood Illinois' own Hollywood Kustoms, that is.
One day about 13 years ago, Bob Wagner of Northlake, Illinois realized he was making more money doing side work on custom automobiles then what his regular job brought in. Tired of working for somebody else, Bob withdrew his life savings and gave starting his own shop a shot. Today, Bobs shop, Hollywood Kustoms is a favorite of Chicago, Illinois area car customizers. The one stop shop specializes in bodywork, painting, pinstriping, air brushing, accessories and hydraulics. Since Hollywood Kustoms opened up in 1989 the shops reputation has grown a great deal in fact, some of the nicest setups in the Midwest have come out of Hollywood Kustoms. The shops highly detailed custom hydraulics have been acknowledge by the lowriding community and Bob's superior tubing skills have won him numerous hydraulics awards. |

From show setups to performance installs, Hollywood Kustoms is no joke. The one man shop has contributed to a few cars that have graced the pages of Lowrider Magazine including "The Untouchable One" '37 Buick featured in February 2000 and a '58 Chevy Impala called "Blue Angel" that appeared in the June 2001 issue. Bob's hydro handiwork can also be seen on lowrider hydraulics circuit. An '89 Mazda single pump truck hopper co-owned by Bob and Victor Cabral placed second overall on Lowrider Magazine's 2001 Anniversary Tour taking home a nice Second Place cup.
With 25 years of professional experience, Bob can just about do it all. Besides installing hydraulics Hollywood Kustoms also produces custom pinstriping and show paint finishes. We were very impressed with this Midwest shop which is putting it down for Chi-Town. If we lived in the Chicago area we know where we would be going to get work done.
